This arrangement of “Great Is Thy Faithfulness” is a heartfelt musical offering, dedicated to the memory of the arranger’s grandparents. After a beautiful one-page introduction that features a graceful, flute-like melody, the main hymn tune enters, accompanied by warm chords low on the piano. The rest of the arrangement alternates quasi-improvisatory material based on the introduction with variations of the hymn, sometimes with hushed stillness and other times blossoming with rich octave melodies and expansive use of the full keyboard.
